The highly anticipated Imperial Western Beer Co. and The Streamliner from 213 Hospitality will celebrate its GRAND OPENING on Thursday, Oct 11 with a free craft beer for every guest from 7:00 p.m. – 12:00 p.m. Named after the legendary Southern Pacific train of the 1930’s, the new brewpub is situated in the iconic Art Deco-Navajo space formerly occupied by the storied Fred Harvey Restaurant and its opening marks a new era of dining and imbibing for commuters at the seminal travel hub.
The brewery is currently open 7 days a week, from 4 PM – 11 PM Monday through Wednesday, 4 PM – 12 AM Thursdays, 4 PM to 2 AM on Friday, 12 PM – 2:00 AM. Saturday and 12 PM – 11 PM on Sunday.
The new brewpub captures the glamour of 1940’s train travel while, in true beer hall fashion, also boasts custom game tables, pool tables, and shuffleboard.
At the heart of Imperial Western lies the main bar, providing service for eighteen custom beer taps featuring Head Brewer Devon Randall’s selection of craft beer brewed in-house with light and refreshing options; such as a Mexican Lager and Cucumber Saison; and “hoppier” varieties, such as a Session IPA and India Pale Ale; dark and broody Oyster Stout and Vienna Lagers.
LA-based chef David Lentz curates an extensive oyster and raw bar program, with daily fresh oyster selections available based on seasonality, as well as market driven American classics. From sampler platters and small plates to sandwiches and rotating Plats Du Jours, highlights on the menu include Oyster Shooters, Peruvian Scallop Aguachile, and House Smoked Mussels with dijonaise from the raw bar, as well as favorites such as Oyster Chowder with bacon and fingerling potatoes, Beer Battered Fish Tacos, Fried Po Boys, House Smoked Pork Ribs, and Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Imperial Western also offers a $1 Oyster Happy Hour, running Monday through Friday from 3pm-7pm.
