Metro Art will transform the historic station into an interactive performance space with Changes: Works at Union Station.
The dynamic one-day presentation, organized by artist Stephen van Dyck, features 20 artists and draws inspiration from the storied transportation hub for an exceptional afternoon of site-specific performances and interactive works.
Changes will use the entire station and its many unique spaces as a setting for creative interpretations of transition.
Inspired by the constant movement and diversity, creators will express their visions of both personal and societal change in various presentations that aim to connect with transit riders and station visitors in meaningful ways.
Participating artists include Zeina Baltagi, Jessica Ceballos y Campbell, Artemisa Clark, Akina Cox, Edgar Fabián Frías, Jonathan Gomez, Vikramadithya Ikshvivek, Alexia Lewis, Todd Moellenberg, Albert Ortega, Paul Outlaw, Paul Pescador, Faith Purvey, Elliot Reed, Michael Rippens, Sepand Shahab, Thinh Nguyen, Christopher Anthony Velasco and Chris Wawrinofsky.
